About Guy Laroche
Guy Laroche founded his couture house in Paris in 1957, bringing a practical, wearable approach to French fashion. The name became especially important in men’s fragrance through Drakkar Noir, launched in 1982, which became one of the defining aromatic fougères of the 1980s and influenced the clean, powerful masculine style of that decade. Drakkar Intense and Drakkar Essence later introduced darker, sweeter and more contemporary interpretations. The brand’s fragrance legacy is therefore concentrated but meaningful: one iconic masculine family with a clear place in perfume history.
