About Issey Miyake
Issey Miyake established his design studio in Tokyo in 1970 and became internationally influential for innovative textiles, technology and a philosophy of simplicity in motion. That approach translated remarkably well into fragrance with L’Eau d’Issey in 1992, whose transparent, water-inspired character became a modern classic. L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme, Sport and Wood & Wood later explored citrus, aromatics and woods. Issey Miyake’s fragrance appeal is rooted in a genuine design idea—purity, nature and modern form—rather than conventional symbols of luxury.
